POP ART MONEY — ROYI AKAVIA
Royi Akavia’s Pop Art Money combines real currency with bold Pop Art, portraits, famous icons, and beloved animation characters.
Using devalued and discarded banknotes as a canvas, Akavia layers them with paint, drawing, collage, and iconic imagery—transforming money into contemporary art.
The collection explores money, fame, identity, culture, and value, bringing together the worlds of Pop Art, celebrity, animation, and everyday life.
Money changes. Icons remain. Art gives them a new value.
